Challenges Abroad are currently recruiting student Challenge Leaders to lead expeditions to any of our 6 incredible project locations next summer (Romania, Tanzania, Peru, India, Thailand and Cambodia). Volunteer, explore, meet new people and have the experience of a lifetime!
The Challenge Leader position is perfect for an outgoing, motivated individual, with good social and communication skills and a passion for travel and volunteering.
Our Leaders recruit a team of 10-20 students from their university to take part in a three-week international adventure next summer. They support and monitor their team as they fundraise throughout the year and during their volunteering and travel abroad. In return, Leaders are offered training as part of our incredible Challenge Leader Programme through a series of completely free training weekends (we will cover transport and accommodation costs). There is also the option to gain an internationally-recognised qualification in Leadership and Management. Challenge Leaders also get a reduction of 100% on their own fundraising target if they take a full team of 20 members (80% reduction for 15 members and 60% reduction for 10 members). We have staff in the UK and in our destinations abroad to offer guidance and support. Each leader is assigned one of our Fundraising and Events Manager to work with them, and we can help with recruitment at freshers fairs.
Our international fundraising challenges are renowned across the UK. This summer we have had 400 students volunteering in and exploring six incredible destination countries. Next summer it could be you trekking to the summit of Kilimanjaro, teaching Buddhist monks in Thailand, volunteering with children in care homes in Romania, or taking part in another of our exciting and valuable projects.
