This is a chance to immerse yourself in the hospitality industry focusing on the kitchen department of a respected hotel. Ambition to succeed in the sector is the key to your future career. This traineeship is unpaid and designed as a pre-employment course.
Over the course of twelve weeks you will assist the head chef in the kitchen of the hotel learning vital skills as you work.
A Traineeship is an education and training programme with work experience that is focused on giving young people the skills and experience that employers are looking for. At its core are work preparation training, English and maths for those who need it, and a high quality work experience placement.
Traineeships help unlock your great potential and give you the work preparation training, maths and English and work experience needed to get an Apprenticeship or other job.
No previous experience is necessary all the employers ask for is ambition and dedication over the 12 week duration.
At the end of the 12 week programme you’ll have:

• A Level 1 Award in Introduction to Employment in the Hospitality Industry
• A guaranteed exit interview in the hotel with a strong chance to be taken on as a full time apprentice.

Also you will either receive a formal interview for any suitable jobs/Apprenticeships at Jurys Inn or you will be offered an exit interview with written feedback and evidence of your time and activities during your placement at the Jurys Inn.
