Systir Productions is an independent film and media production company, based in North London, producing original and innovative work showcasing emerging writing, directing and performing talent. We are seeking an intern to help in the marketing of completed projects and development/pre-production of several future projects including raising the company profile through social media.

This is an exciting time here at Systir and we need an extra pair of hands to assist us with:

• The execution of the marketing strategy and distribution of web series, The Syndicate.  The first two episodes are already out with four more to be released in the coming weeks.
• Completion of post-production on two short films shot last year destined for submission to festivals in 2012 and 2013.
• Fund raising for a feature film in the final stages of development and scheduled for production early in 2013
• Development of an online animated series, The Syndicate series 2 and a series of micro shorts aimed at the mobile media market 

Much of the internship will be spent building up contacts and relationships with other industry professionals, networking, helping to raise the company profile through blogging and social networking. 

We are therefore seeking a dynamic candidate with strong written and oral communication, organisational and interpersonal skills, ability to use their initiative and work as part of a small but dedicated team. Experience in blogging and social media and an interest in marketing is essential.  

This internship will provide an excellent opportunity to gain experience working within the world of independent, lo/no budget filmmaking, with established filmmakers. You will make invaluable contacts within the industry as well as gaining hands on marketing experience and production experience during shooting.  For the right candidate this is an opportunity to join the company long term – where we go, you go.

The internship is for six months, starting as soon as possible. This is a voluntary position, one day per week (day to be confirmed). Travel costs from within the Greater London area (zones 1-6) will be reimbursed and lunch will be provided.
