Fancy an adventure? The Bushcraft Company are looking for enthusiastic and hardworking people to work as Field Chefs this summer!

The Bushcraft Company is an outdoor education provider looking for Field Cooks for our 2012 season from April to October. All our food is prepared on site in the woods and cooked over open fires. You will not only prepare these innovative and delicious meals using traditional bushcraft techniques, but will also act as host to the camp.

You will run an exceptionally hygienic and highly organised field kitchen with rigorous forward planning for all meals. You will be outgoing and friendly and have a desire to work with children. 

You will also be required to help educate the students in wilderness cookery technique and production. On occasions, you may also be required to step out of the kitchen to take the role of a Tribe Leader, which will involve running activities and playing games with groups of students.

We will provide you with a high level of knowledge and skill in bushcraft and wilderness cookery, but you will need to bring a hard working, enthusiastic and energetic attitude, great communications skills and a passion for food and the great outdoors.The successful applicant must have the ability to think on their feet.

Our camps take place all summer at one of our beautiful forest sites across England and Wales. This is the ideal opportunity for students looking to have an adventure this summer while earning a competitive wage in the outdoor industry.

Catering experience is not essential but would be advantageous.
