Brief description

The role of the Business Development Intern is to engage with employers and enhance student recruitment for our Professional, Post graduate and undergraduate programmes.

Job description

The Intern will build extensive relationships with companies and organisations and seek to create internships and full time job opportunities for our students. They will organise fortnightly employer related events and a guest speaker series.  They will also be the first point of contact for generic enquiries and work closely with the rest of the Careers & Corporate teams in marketing jobs and opportunities to students.

Duties:

·         Working closely with Corporate Careers

·         Source 25 jobs weekly

·         Marketing jobs and opportunities to students - Jobwire to all weekly + filtered / targeted job adverts

·         Organise fortnightly employer related events / a guest speaker series

·         Emailing reminders for events

·         Managing event registrations

·         Taking event attendance & flagging no shows

·         Supporting the setup of student clubs in Finance, Consulting and Industry in association with the SA

·         Work closely with the Alumni & Marketing teams in helping source quotes and sound bites and interviews with employers who have engaged with the school or hired our students.

·         Occasional employer visits and professional bodies, both large and small, to obtain information about opportunities, recruitment procedures and policies, and labour market trends; - working closely with the Business Development Manager

·         Working on special projects,

·         Any other duties that are assigned by the Head of Careers & Employability

Essential Competencies:

  • Excellent written, oral communication and interpersonal skills for working with individuals and groups and for liaison with employers and academic staff;

Experience and Education  

·         Preferred experience in a marketing or business development role
