About the collaborative blogging and social media project: We are launching an online blog and social community and are looking for talented people to work with to make it happen. We already have a very small team of voluntary bloggers who will write make content alongside you on our blogging platform.

Job description

`We expect you to take on the day-to-day project managementand the marketing aspect of the project. Your role will be to work side by side with the bloggers, source new bloggers and manage the blogging competition, web-developer and project lead. We are envisioning an equal team member who will take on both overall responsibility for the project, the presswork and marketing as well as help develop the web platform

This opportunity is what you make of it. The more you show us in completing marketing projects, the more responsibility we’ll give you to lead marketing programs. Marketing Interns will have the opportunity to get involved in every facet of our Marketing Strategy including:

•Social Media efforts (blogging, forums, Twitter, Facebook)

•Search Engine Marketing (SEM)

•Website content creation and updates

•Marketing Messaging (website, newsletter, marketing materials, etc.)

•Competitor Analysis (messaging, offerings, marketing materials, etc.)

•Webinar and Email Campaign creation

Education Level

A - Level / Scottish Highers / BTEC or NVQ equilivant

Job Requirements

For this position, we are not looking for any particular prior experience or specific collegiate class level but are looking for candidates that have the skills and traits to excel in a start-up environment. A candidate should be most if not all the traits below:

•Be a Smart, Agile Thinker (i.e. good decision-maker who doesn’t get bogged down when problems arise)

•Have a Willingness to Learn about Internet Marketing and Social Media (and use it.)

•Proven Ability to Get Things Done (This could be in school or anything else you are involved in.)

•Desire to learn more about working for a start-up

•Ability to think of creative solutions to problems

•You write well (blogging is a big part of what we do and we’d like to have you contribute.)
