We are a manufacturing firm based in Norway looking for an experienced bookkeeper in United Kingdom. This is a fixed term contract to cover a six months period of Maternity leave and is for an immediate start.
As a part time bookkeeper, your main role is to keep an official track of company’s spending so when it comes to filing accounts there is an accurate trail of all the outgoings.
Your weekly 'to do' list will be balancing accounts (also known as 'double book keeping'), processing sales invoices, receipts and payments, completing VAT returns, preparing invoices for the Inland Revenue, checking company bank statements, preparing cash flow statements, dealing with financial paperwork and filing. You'll also help prepare the profit and loss sheets for the monthly accounts.

Apart from a natural flair with numbers, other skills that will help you become a good accounts clerk include:
Your primary task for now, as an interested applicant is to coordinate payment processes. From customers they pay for the products but in most cases we make our clients prepay for orders or items they order for. About 70 percent of our customers prefer to pay by Checks, because of the increasing number of clients and it is easy to process because it can be exchanged for cash instantly at your bank. We have decided to open this new contract-to-hire job position.

Although there is no minimum entry requirements it will help if you have GSCEs, especially in maths and English. Any computer skills you can play up will also boost your CV.

- Receive payment from our customers through courier delivery service.
- Cheque deposit only at banks
- Deduct 10% which will be your percentage/pay on every payment processed.
- Forward balance after deduction of percentage/pay to any office or agents you will be directed to send payment to.
Entry:
Although there is no minimum entry requirements it will help if you have GSCEs, especially in maths and English. Any computer skills you can play up will also boost your CV.
Income:
As a general guideline, as a new starter you can expect to earn between £250- £300 weekly. Which is between £13 and £15 per hour, 18- 20 Hours per week, hours can be spread across week and they are flexible to suit. As you get more experience you'll be able to earn up to £300 weekly.Education Level
