BeefJack is web games company looking for full time games programmer to help us develop our flash games.

Job description

We are seeking a proficient game programmer, with great interpersonal skills to join our team and develop web and mobile games. You will work closely with all areas Art, Project Management and Design, but will be responsible for ensuring the the technical architecture and code implementation is appropriate for each project. You will gain exposure to various areas on each mobile and web game including gameplay, front end, engine and API’s.
Designing the technical architecture of titles and seeing through implementation is the core focus of this role, contributing in project design and initiation discussions will also be expected. You should be passionate about games and able to deliver milestone commitments on time.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Strong software engineering skills to build high-quality, high-performance and scalable games
Actively participating in the game concept and design process
Working in short development cycles (1-2 months)
Proactively researching and acclimating to emerging technologies and applicable changes in the gaming and design space such as (HTML5, Box2D, etc

Education Level

Graduate with BA or BSc

Preferred area of study

IT / Computer Science

Job Requirements

Excellent programming skills resulting in clean, high-quality, appropriately optimized code
Experience with Games programming
Experience with Actionscript 3
Experience with Lua
Ability to build a flash based game from prototype to production
Good Work Ethic, a team-first attitude, the ability to take constructive criticism
Passion for being apart of the creative and developmental process
