Four Hair-raising Cities for a Halloween Night Out
Ghosts, Witches, Bats, Monsters … you know what time of year it is!
Many events are being held all over the country this weekend for Halloween, but with so much choice, it’s so hard to decide, which one to choose for your spooky night. To make it easier for you, we’ve picked out the best cities, for the most frightful Halloween events that will keep you bumping through the night.
Breaking Bad Halloween: Gus Fring Funeral – The Laundry, Friday 30th October
Calling all Breaking Bad fans, this one is for you! This themed club night will give you a chance to become your favourite breaking bad star, for just one night! It’s on from 9pm – 5am, there’s dancers and entertainment and you must come in your scariest Breaking Bad-themed costume. Tickets are £22 and can be bought online. So if this sounds like your type of Halloween treat, then go buy yourself a ticket!
Twisted Circus Halloween Festival – IndigO2, Saturday 31st October
Capital Xtra’s DJ Charlsey (Tinie Tempah’s official DJ) will be headlining this spooktacular event, along with other world famous DJ’s. You may have to mentally prepare yourself for this night of antics as ‘you will see hazardous tricks attempted before your eyes, from dramatic contortion & blood bath burlesque to light bulb eating & blade regurgitation’. They’re also supplying popcorn, candy floss, cupcakes and glow sticks, to make it even more circus-like. Tickets are £30 and can be bought online, so go get searching.
They have a strict, no costume, no entry policy – so dress to impress!
Dia de Los Muertos – Boxxed, Friday 30th October
From 10pm – 6am, Ouse are holding a Mexican themed Day of the Dead, Halloween party. Providing face painters, to give you the ultimate Mexican sugar skull look. You can buy tickets from Drinks2Go in Selly Oak or online for £12.
Nightmare on Broad Street: Halloween Block Party – Broad Street, Saturday 31st October
The biggest student Halloween bar crawl in Birmingham includes entry to six venues (Walkabout, Basement, o-Bar, 6 on Broad Street, Popworld and Players), drink offers, giveaways and a prize for the best fancy dress. It’s on from 9pm – 6am and you can buy student tickets for £6.50 online, so go get purchasing.
Halloween fancy dress ball – Medication, Friday 30th October
Medication are holding a fancy dress ball and are offering prizes and horror-themed giveaways for the best costumes. Not to be missed, if you love dressing up! It’s on from 11pm – 4am and tickets can be bought online.
Cocoon take over the asylum – Newsham Park, Saturday 31st October
This event is actually being held in a real super creepy abandoned asylum, it’s a two-part event, that includes exclusive house and techno DJ sets. For all you techno and house fanatic. Tickets are £35 and can be purchased online.
‘American Halloween Story’ – Sound Control, Friday 30th October
American Horror Story fans look no further, we have found your perfect event! Dress up as your favourite character and dance the night away to American music – in keeping with the American theme. Sweets will also be provided to ‘satiate your trick-or-treating urges’. Tickets are only £4 and can be bought online, go get your tickets for this ghostly event.
