Top Five Cities for Christmas Events
It is that time of year again, the countdown to Christmas day is upon us and the stress of what to buy your loved ones begins but why not make Christmas shopping a little bit more exciting and visit some of the best attractions around the country. We welcome a season of special events to really get us in the festive mood, so do you fancy a traditional Christmas market? Or a few hours of ice skating? Or why not go and watch the Christmas Lights be switched on?
There are plenty of events to see, so we've picked some of the top cities, where you can wrap up warm and delve into over this Christmas month.
Hyde Park, Kensington, Friday 20th November 2015 - Sunday 3rd January 2016
Winter Wonderland takes place at Hyde Park again this year, bringing a ray of festive fun to London. With free entry, Winter Wonderland includes a range of festive activities for you to enjoy, such as ice skating on one of the UK's biggest ice rinks and the Magical Ice Kingdom, where you can view some amazing ice sculptures and even finish in the ice bar for a well... ice cold beer. There is also several rides for all the thrill seekers or keep your feet firmly on the ground and sit down and relax at one of the many bars for a glass of mulled wine.
New Bailey, Irwell Street, Salford, Thursday 12th November 2015 - Sunday 3rd January 2016
Located in its new location in the New Bailey, Manchester's ice rink, is the perfect place to have a day of laughs with friends and family. The ice rink is the city centre's largest outdoor ice rink and offers festive activities throughout its time in Manchester including DJs, themed sessions and family entertainment. If you are known to be bambi on ice, you can sit back and watch the skaters at the ice rinks bar with a mulled wine in your hand.

Millennium Square, Leeds, Friday 13th November 2015 - Sunday 20th December 2015
Leeds welcomes back the German Christmas market for its 14th year. Millennium square is transformed into a Christmas village, with over 40 wooden chalets selling you some of Germany's traditional hand crafted gifts, food and drink. Finish your last minute Christmas shopping and enjoy a night in the festive hall with some traditional Germany music and a stein of beer.
East Princes St Gardens, Friday 20th November 2015 - Saturday 4th January 2016
Visit Edinburgh and take a ride on the big wheel where you can see unbelievable views of the city lit up for Christmas. With a price of £6 you will hear a short historical tour of the view and city. Step off the wheel into Edinburgh's own winter wonderland full of festive stores and bars.
