What are you going to do:
We are offering a fantastic Student Work Placement and/or Summer Internship opportunity to get first-hand quality experience in the design industry. Due to continued growth an online homeware brand with an expanding web presence is looking for a Design Studio Assistant to help with general day-to-day duties. The ideal candidate would be an art/fashion/textile student with a creative and entrepreneurial mind-set looking to gain experience in a small start up business. This is a very hands-on position based in a studio. You will be assisting with the manufacturing/hand printing of products as well as day to day marketing and administrative duties. This is an exciting opportunity to learn how a small business runs whilst learning new creative skills.
Role Responsibility:
- Create newsletters and marketing campaigns using Mailchimp
- Use Adobe Photoshop to create life-style images for social media and newsletters
- Maintain the companies PR system
- You will be taught dye sublimation printing by the creative director
- Send emails to potential stockists and clients
- Assist the creative director with packaging/cutting/printing
Desirable Skills:
- Art student looking for experience in a creative design studio
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Computer Literate
- Creative and Innovative thinker
- Strong administrative skills with a key eye for detail
- Photoshop experience
What we offer:
- Start Date: ASAP
- Duration: Summer Internship or Industrial Placement year
- Hours: Monday - Friday 10am - 4pm
- Salary: Expenses only (Travel & Lunch)
