Technology Analyst - Systems Engineer in Bradford

We’ve got an opportunity for a Technology Analyst - Systems Engineer to join our infrastructure team within Technology, based in Bradford. It's an exciting time to join this fast paced work environment.

This role requires a good understanding of Windows Technologies with a proven track record of delivering solutions at an enterprise level.

The main objective of the role is to use in-depth technical knowledge to maintain the functionality, stability and availability all of all aspects of the Windows Server environment within the Morrisons estate

You will also be required to investigate any other Windows Server related incidents which are passed through to the team and ensure that SLA’s are adhered to.

What will I do?

• Maintain day to day running of the Morrisons Windows Server environments

• Provisioning of new environments, the monitoring of existing virtual guests, hosts and resources

• Implementation of changes to the Morrisons infrastructure ensuring all change procedures are followed

• Testing/evaluation of new systems ensuring they meet the appropriate quality standards and can be maintained by the Windows Server Platform Team

• Perform Operational Acceptance Testing (OAT)  on hardware/systems in preparation for acceptance in to support/BAU

The person who gets the job will ideally:

• An excellent understanding of Windows Server Technologies with a proven track record of delivering solutions at an enterprise level

• A high level of attention to detail but the ability to deliver quickly in a fast paced retail environment

• A level of innovation to creatively apply solutions while ensuring that the system is supportable and sustainable.

• You’ll need to demonstrate strong technical skills and the ability to operate and maintain a Windows environment, preferably in a large, complex organisation. You will be responsible for ensuring that the team achieves SLA (Service Level Agreement) measures and other team targets, therefore good communication and interpersonal skills are essential for this role
