Paid Product Owner Internship in London

We are looking for someone who is looking to start their career in Product and become a mini-CEO of your own product. You will be shadowing our Head of Product, learning skills like data analysis, coding, wireframing and the big one - stakeholder management. This is an internship position for 1 year, but if the candidate does well then we will look to move them into a full time role as a Product Owner. What are we looking for? Someone who is organised and can think logically but also someone who wants to really be part of something innovative.

Between £18,000 and £20,000 Per Year

What are you going to do:

Must haves:

  • Attention to detail
  • Good memory
  • Good written and spoken English
  • Interest in technology and how it works functionally
  • Computer literacy – detailed understanding of Microsoft Office/Google Suite/iWork
  • Must be able to organise work based on priority
  • Be excited to innovate
  • Be able to hold your ground in a debate without being stubborn
  • Be able to think logically and methodically
  • A good remote-work environment

Nice to haves:

  • Understand how to read some form of coding language like HTML or CSS
  • Basic understanding of wireframing

Role:

  • Gathering stakeholder requirements and working with product and tech to mould them into technical requirements
  • Writing up training and technical walk-throughs
  • Keeping on top of industry and customer trends
  • Using analytical tools to get a deep understanding of what we are doing and what we should be doing
  • Coming up with innovative ideas and plans to create commercially viable products
  • Creating wireframes

Skills you will learn:

  • How to write requirements
  • How an agile environment works
  • How to wireframe for the best UX outcome
  • Analytical tools like Google Analytics and the basics of SQL
  • Basics of reading code
  • Stakeholder management
  • Quick methodical decision making

Our interview process:

We keep our interview process short and snappy, and we try to give relevant feedback if you don't make it through. Right now, our process is as follows:

  1. A short take-home test that should be doable within 30 minutes to analyse you approach to tasks.
  2. A short call with the Head of Product to chat through your technical experience, your interests and what we're both looking for.
  3. A presentation on an idea where you will be lightly debated and questioned on, followed by a final meet and greet with the team.
