About The Role

We’ve got a great opportunity for a Technology Manager to join our core applications Service Delivery team. This role is based at our head office in Bradford, West Yorkshire and is integral to the stability of  applications in our Commercial, Supply Chain, Logistics & Manufacturing business areas. It's an exciting time to join this fast paced work environment. You’ll be responsible for the implementation of a range of IT enabled projects, ensuring target benefits to Morrisons are realised whilst maintaining the integrity of quality, speed and cost.  


As a Technology Manager- Operations your responsibilities will include:

  • To be accountable for owning and running business services delivered by technology across the central systems  business area. This role will be to coordinate with the relevant teams, internal and external customers, suppliers and resolver groups to ensure day to day business operates as expected

  • Follow ITIL practices to ensure any incidents raised are resolved within SLA and problem management,  known error and continual service improvements processes are followed to find root cause

  • Responsible for continual availability of services to the customer

  • Responsible for the effective end to end running and operation of the business service that underpin the critical business processes that are used by thousands of users

  • Continuous improvement of the services and the overall service relationship with the business stakeholder (at “Head of” level)

  • Monitor Service Levels (SLA’s) for each Business Service to effectively measure the service provided

  • Consulted in  service reviews with senior business stakeholders, strategic partners and collating regular feedback to measure service and lead enhancements

About You
 You’ll need skills and experience like this:
  • Experience delivering complex end to end IT Service Management within multi vendor environment

  • Ability to develop & nurture relationships with key stakeholders at all levels within the Morrisons and with third party Suppliers

  • Experience of incident resolution in complex IT Solutions

  • Experience of working in a fast paced environment

  • Understanding of ITIL processes including monitoring and alerting 

  • Understanding of Retail business operation and systems to support this

  • Strong levels of resilience, with the ability to constructively challenge when under pressure

  • Experience of  influencing and coaching others
