We are looking for an enthusiastic well motivated person to join our administration and clerical team as an apprentice for the Shropshire Audiology Department.
You will be working towards your Level 2 NVQ in Business and Administration over a 13 month period, working full time, 37.5 hours per week. The delivery of training will happen in the workplace. During your 13 month placement you will be enrolled with Telford College.
The Shropshire Audiology Service covers a population of 500,000 people delivering diagnostic and treatment services to both adults and paeditarics. Shropshire Audiology believes strongly in multidisciplinary working for the benefit of the patient and therefore part of the role may well involve interaction with Social Services, local volunteer groups and education services.
Excellent written and verbal communication are essential, as is the ability to work within a team and to be able to work on your own initiative. You must have GCSE Grade 4 or above in English, Mathematics, or equivalent.
The successful applicant will be computer literate with an understanding of Word, Excel and Outlook. Good communication skills, a good general education is required up to GCSE level. Although this role is based at The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital, the successful postholder will be required to provide occasional administrative support at The Princess Royal Hospital, Telford. A flexible friendly approach is integral to the role.
