ProjectSet is a platform that engages students and employers to execute online projects. Students can work 5-15 hours a week on these projects, during or outside their term time. Our platform allows students to gain real-world work experience and valuable skills alongside completing their degree for free. Our mission is to build an inclusive platform where students can access opportunities to hone their employability skills and boost their CV irrespective of their academic affiliations, interests or financial status. ProjectSet works in close partnership with leading universities and organisations that share our passion and believe in our purpose. We are a small start-up with a wonderful team that has big ambitions and are looking for an intern to help drive us forward.
The Problem:
In today’s competitive economy, employability skills have become an essential part of preparing for the graduate job market. With university degrees tending to be theory-based, and less than 5% of UK university students gaining internship experience, it is inevitable that the majority of students will miss out on these opportunities to develop employability skills. Consequently, many graduates lack the practical skills that are required to jump straight into a graduate job.
The Solution:
ProjectSet aims to bridge that gap. We exist to enhance employability skills and provide online internship opportunities to all UK university students, regardless of background, degree course or university attended.
We provide a free online platform where students can connect and collaborate with companies on real-world projects, spending 5-15 hours a week. Projects can fit around your academic commitments or part-time jobs and completed online without leaving your campus. Whatever your subject, interests or career aspirations, at ProjectSet, you’ll find a project that suits you.
