Online Retail Internship at an Independent Luxury Fashion Store in Westminster

* 8 Week internship focusing on web design and eCommerce * Design and manage a new website for Gertrude Fashions with a focus on eCommerce. * Ability to self research technical solutions to eCommerce suggestions. * Manage the delivery of new product launches - from product descriptions, translations, photography, technical information, pricing etc. * Action and optimise merchandising to drive revenue with things such as site search, categorisation, sorting rules, and recommendations. * Monitor, dispatch & support replenishment of web stock. * Oversee all order management and online logistics.

About the Role - 8 Week Internship 

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and analytical candidate. The eCommerce Trading Coordinator will be responsible for a new project which involves creating and maintaining the Gertrude Fashions website and managing the eCommerce selling platforms on Amazon and Ebay. Working alongside the owner of the company, your main objective over the 8 week internship will be creating, launching and managing all online trading. You will be in charge of growing and improving the online business growth. There will be a payment of up to £1500 at the end of the internship. Lunch and travel is paid throughout the placement. Weekly bonus payments for the right intern.

About the Candidate

The candidate must be experienced in web design and eCommerce with an understanding of a retail environment. You will have a passion for online and have ideas for enhancing our online customer experience. You will be highly motivated and have a great can-do attitude. The candidate we are seeking will be a self starter with the ability to apply strong technical knowledge and interpersonal skills to drive sales. The right candidate will have the ability to drive sales as if it was your own business during the project and you will be given the freedom to do this. This internship will give you the opportuniy to gain knowledge to create and maintain a successful eCommerce customer experience. In exchange for independently driving the eCommerce project you will receive a bonus payment at the end of the internship and the opportunity to apply for a permanent position in the company.

Responsibilities:

The Ideal Candidate

Skills & Experience:

  • Previous experience during your degree/course with eCommerce platforms, retail preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills and a positive can-do attitude.
  • Advance excel knowledge is highly desirable but not essential.
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with multiple stakeholders.
  • To be driven and articulate.
