Breca is a company with a single aim- to bring the amazing sport of swimrun to the world. As we expand our race series to mainland Europe and North America, we need an extra pair of hands on our ops team to research, assess and map out potential new courses for our 2020 launch.
As a company, we have set our selves the target of launching five new races in 2020. The role of our new ops intern is simple: to facilitate the launching of these courses from start to finish. We are a tight-knit and passionate Reporting to the Operations Manager you will:
- Use Google Earth Pro and other tools to identify then assess the viability of North American locations for a swimrun course
- Gather information on stakeholder permissions needed to launch the race (local/state government, private landowners, local businesses, national park authorities etc)
- If viable, map out an awesome course that fulfils the Breca brief
- Respond to customer services enquires on Zendesk and social media
- Carry out additional research pieces as required to get the 2020 North America series launched by November
The role is part-time and flexible, it can be 2-3 full days a week or mornings/afternoons across the week. There is also the scope to work from home once you are comfortable with the role.
