Exciting new role within a dispensing doctors surgery. With support from pharmacy technician manager and resident clinical pharmacist. Successful candidate will get in-depth training within the pharmacy business but also an overview of the workings of the GP practice that it is based in.
Pharmacy Assistants are essentially members of the pharmacy team working under the supervision of a Pharmacy Technicians to provide pharmaceutical care for the patient. The duties are varied, and it is not simply a matter of counting tablets. This 12 month course will provide you with the skills to work as an assistant.
Full practical in-house training will be provided, working towards gaining an NVQ Certificate in Pharmacy Service Skills L2 . You must be a team player, keen to further your education, and have a good attention to detail as well as the ability to work accurately in a busy environment and be able to communicate clearly with patients and staff.
All professionally supported candidates will be expected to enter into a learning contract and commit to completing all necessary course work.
It is desirable that you would have 4 GCSEs of D or above, but help can be given with functional skills.
