**18 month Fixed Term Contract - Apprenticeship **

We welcome applications from individuals wishing to become an Apprentice and gain experience in the NHS. You will develop new skills and knowledge whilst working with an established team gaining valuable work experience and a recognised apprenticeship qualification.

You will be enrolled with a local education provider and will be required to complete your Level 3 Business Administration Apprenticeship Programme within the duration of the placement.

The Endoscopy Department is a busy and interesting work environment spread across 2 locations, Norfolk and Norwich Hospital and the newly built Quadram Institute both based on the wider hospital site. The unit is a centre of excellence providing a variety of endoscopy procedures both diagnostic and therapeutic to a population of 750,000 people.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Waiting List Coordinator to join our established Endoscopy Waiting List Team

The post holder will provide waiting list management for the Gastroenterology Directorate. This role relies on close working relationships between consultants, secretaries, departmental staff, patients, Day Procedure Unit and general practitioners.

The post holder will ensure that all waiting lists within Gastroenterology are maintained accurately, observing the rules of ‘real time data entry’. All aspects of this role should be carried out in line with the Patient Access Policy and the Trust PAS User Policy.

All applicants must be:

  • Aged 16+
  • Resident in the UK/EEA for the last three years
  • Must not have a Degree, Level 4 qualification or above
  • Must NOT be in any form of formal government-funded education

Qualifications and Skills Required:

  • Good general standard of education
  • 4 GCSE’s at Grade C or above (or equivalent)
  • Good standard of literacy and numeracy
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good IT skills
