Do you know the meaning of 'probate' without googling it?
We are a LegalTech Startup based in Edinburgh, currently part of the Seed Haus Accelerator Programme. We believe in helping people who are in their time of most need - after a bereavement.
We're looking for someone who doesn't need to google 'probate' to know what it means.
Perhaps you did a few years of law at Uni but worked out that being a solicitor wasn't for you or maybe you are a paralegal or a solicitor that isn't that turned on by what you do anymore.
As is the case with startups, your job will be highly varied. One day you might be researching information for an article on inheritance tax, the next you could be meeting a recently bereaved person alongside the founder, and the day after that you might be explaining legal concepts to software developers.
This role would initially start as a side-hustle which could be done from home in your spare time but could become the job of your dreams within the next few months when we get things off the ground.
This is a great opportunity to get involved in an early-stage business and potentially go on the trip of a lifetime. You could become part of the founding team so share options would be on the table.
