Part Time Front of House Team Member in Birmingham

We are looking for you to join our team at Edgbaston Priory Club in the heart of Birmingham. With a history dating back to the birth of lawn tennis, Edgbaston Priory Club is the perfect setting to keep fit, relax and socialise. Set in 14 acres of beautiful grounds, five minutes from Birmingham’s city centre, the Club offers members an outstanding environment for players of all standards to enjoy racquet sports, to swim, work out in the gym and enjoy watching world-class tennis and squash players compete.

Our wonderfully refurbished clubhouse offers bespoke areas for members to relax, unwind and socialise, including a sports bar, bistro, family lounge area and outdoor patio for summer dining.

Your responsibilities: As part of our catering team, you will be responsible for running the venue (front and back of house) in an efficient manner projecting a friendly attitude to all customers and colleagues while complying with all the Health and Safety standards and regulations at the same time as providing a great customer experience.

Within your duties you will:

Ensure that all areas under your responsibility are kept clean, tidy and fully stocked at all times.
Basic food preparation is often required as part of our team.
Provide a wide option of cold and hot beverages. (Full barista and bar training will be provided).
Be able to multitask and perform well under pressure while working on your own or as part of the team at the same time than being able to work in all of our different areas maintaining all standards.
Have great food and drinks knowledge to be able to advise, recommend and maximise sales for the unit.
To be accountable for you till and be able to cash up at the end of your shift.
Deal efficiently with any minor complaints
Carry stock takes on a weekly basis or as required by your line manager.
Provide a safe environment for the guests and other colleagues at all times and report any faulty equipment.
Be flexible with your working patterns. This is an unsocial times sector and we are open 364 days a year.

Requirements F&B/Catering/Retail experience preferred but not essential.
