Assistant Administrator in central London

What are you going to do:

Job role duties;

The overall purpose of the role is to support the centre office team with:

  • Welcome visitors and clients to the centre
  • Support with administration tasks and projects
  • Support with research and marketing
  • Provide excellent customer service to our students and clients

Administrative support

  • Act as the contact point after reception, dealing with routine enquiries and, where necessary, passing on information to the relevant staff in the centre
  • Support the centre office team with queries and other administration tasks and to ensure the smooth running of the Centre
  • Assist with maintaining and updating the Centre’s database and office and finance systems (excel spreadsheets, filling etc)
  • Assist with student recruitment, applications, interviews and preparation of courses
  • Provide practical help with setting up rooms and catering, keeping the centre tidy

Research and Marketing

  • Assist with the updating, creation and publishing of electronic marketing material
  • Support marketing and digital media promotional campaigns
  • Conduct research

The role is diverse and flexible with opportunities to learn and acquire new skills in a supportive environment.

Part time, 2 days per week, mostly 9am-5pm (flexible), £10 per hour/£140-£160 per week, at the Kings Cross St Pancras area in London.

What we ask:

  • At least finished college A levels
  • A levels English and Maths or equivalent (essential)
  • College/higher education student or graduate (desirable)
  • Friendly, approachable and collaborative
  • ‘Can-do’ attitude and able to work independently
  • Good organisation skills
  • Working well with computers (MS Office, email, social media)
  • A good eye for detail and be good with numbers
  • Commitment to excellent customer service
  • Flexibility with hours and able to occasionally cover evening reception (5-9pm)

You'd be friendly, approachable and collaborative with a positive flexible ‘can do’ attitude. We are a small, dynamic and busy organisation and as you’ll be part of the Gestalt Centre family, you’ll need to be able to work well with the rest of the team and independently, on your own initiative as and when needed. You’d extend your friendly manner to our students and clients as excellent customer service would be important to you. You’d also have a good eye for detail and be good with numbers as you’d also be working with databases and finance. You’d have some flexibility regarding your hours and would be able to cover some evenings if needed.
