Job Title:                     Trust Secretariat Apprentice

Hours:                         37.5 hours per week

Duration:                     Fixed Term 12 month (366 days) contract

Salary:                         GHNHSFT Apprentice Terms and Conditions

£10,132 pa, £5.18 per hour

Department/Area:       Corporate Governance           

Accountable to:           Corporate Governance Manager

Location:                     Alexandra House, Cheltenham General Hospital

 

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a well organised and committed individual to be a business and administration apprentice within Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

The apprentice will complete a Level 2 Business Administration Apprenticeship with Learning and Skills Partnership whilst gaining valuable administration experience within our Corporate Governance Team.

This apprenticeship vacancy would be suitable for a school leaver or someone who would like a change in career who has an interest in governance.

 

The Apprentice will be managed by the Corporate Governance Manager and be supported to carry out administration activities including:

 

  • Clerical tasks i.e. typing, photocopying, sorting post, answering the telephone etc. to the Team
  • Formatting of Board and Committee reports in line with Trust Presentational standards
  • Uploading information to the intranet and website
  • Distribute Board and Committee meeting papers
  • Using AdminControl for the publication of Board and Committee papers
  • Arranging meetings involving, the Chair of the Trust, Chief Executive, Executive Directors, Non-Executive Directors and Governors, booking venues and catering as required
  • Supporting the Corporate Governance Manager in maintaining the Governor log of questions
  • General Administration duties

 

The apprentice will be expected to be professional, treat everyone with kindness and respect, and have the confidence to communicate with staff at all levels within Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, other Trusts and external stakeholders.

 

The maximum working week is 37.5 hours / week;

 

The young person will have a daily unpaid break of at least 30 minutes every 4.5 hours worked; there is no weekend working.
