Due to continued growth, we are looking for a Traffic Operator, to join us in Southampton, Hampshire. The role will involve working to deadlines in a fast-paced environment. You will join us on a full time, permanent basis and in return you will receive a competitive salary dependent on your experience, plus benefits (there will be a requirement for a degree of out of hours work). You would preferably have previous experience in transport operations, possess good communication skills, have good working knowledge of basic IT systems and a good team-based work ethic.
The post of Operator is responsible for the planning of loads and the allocation of driver and vehicle resource, ensuring customer requirements are met and deliveries are made in a timely manner. The post holder is responsible for ensuring that all work orders take account of constraints such as time, weight and all legislative requirements and resources are fully utilised.
