Part-time guest host/hostess position in Coventry

What are you going to do:

About the position:

Ziferblat is a brand new co-working/community space coming to the centre of Coventry in November. We are looking for creative young people with excellent communication skills to become part of our bold project. This part-time flexible position is well suited for individuals who are looking for a no-previous-experience-necessary position in the areas of hospitality, culture and business. We are looking for bright personalities, who would like to work within a small team of other equally enthusiastic colleagues.

You will work as a guest host in our cosy and friendly space. You will be welcoming guests, creating a warm atmosphere and spending cheerful time with other members of the team. Moreover, we believe in the equal participation of all team members in the development of the business project. Horizontal participation is encouraged, which might involve the discussion of future targets and the setting of strategies to achieve agreed goals.

Guest hosts can also expect part-time assignment to the position of shift-supervisor, based on performance.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide a genuinely welcoming and memorable experience for our guests, from a warm welcome to handling any questions and helping out with requests
  • Take reservations over the phone, handle cash and card payments
  • Ensure that the space is neat and clean throughout the day
  • Prepare hot drinks (training will be provided)
  • Help with organising art and cultural events in the centre
  • Participate in brainstorm and committee meetings to decide on future goals and to realise future guest projects

What we ask:

  • No minimum education required
  • Background in the arts and the humanities is advantageous
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Must be a team player, with solid work and behaviour ethics

All necessary training will be provided by us.
