An opportunity has arisen within the busy Pharmacy Aseptic Unit in the Chelsea branch of the Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust. The Unit provides a range of cancer chemotherapy agents for both recognised treatment and for clincal trials including cytotoxics, monoclonal antibodies and gene therapy. This position working full time in aseptic services provides support to the Chief Technician and other senior Aseptic Services staff carrying out and co-ordinating the operational and product preparation duties within the Pharmacy Aseptic Service.

All Staff work closely with our main outsource providers to order, process and distribute bought-in pre-ordered IV products. Reporting to the Deputy Chief Technician, Aseptic Services you will possess good communication and inter-personal skills. Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office), flexibility in the role and good teamworks are essential. You must be able to partake in weekend and bank holiday working rotas. The post involves some manual handling and may require cross-site working on rare occasions. Candidates must have literacy and numeracy skills up to GCSE level and must be prepared to work towards QCF Level 2 Pharmacy Services as part of the training package.
