NHS Devon Clinical Commissioning Group is the fifth biggest CCG in England. Formed from the merger of Northern, Eastern and Western Devon CCG and South Devon and Torbay CCG, the new organisation serves a patient population of nearly 1.2 million people with a budget of more than £1.8 billion.
The CCG is the headquarters for the NHS in Devon and works closely with a range of partners, including fellow NHS organisations, local authorities and charities, to ensure people in Devon receive high quality healthcare.
It will take over the commissioning of primary care services in Devon, Plymouth and Torbay on 1 April 2019 and is made up of 131 member GP practices, all of which are rated either good or outstanding by the CQC.

Devon Referral Support Services (DRSS) are delighted to be offering an exciting opportunity to join their Newton Abbot office as a Business Administration Apprentice.
A Business Administration qualification opens a world of opportunity and roles to an individual undertaking it.
As part of NHS Devon Clinical Commissioning Group (Devon CCG), DRSS helps patients make informed choices regarding the next step in their healthcare journey. We are the first point of contact for patients to book their outpatient appointments at a range of locations across Devon. We are looking for someone who is keen to learn and engage with all sectors of the business, to support the day to day function of the NHS telephone contact and referral management centre.
Most of the role will be telephone-based therefore we require a highly motivated, customer-orientated individual with excellent communication skills and a good telephone manner.
As many tasks will involve keyboard entry, accurate keyboard skills, a calm, focussed attitude and the ability to record data and information accurately, are required.

ICT Skills - the company uses Microsoft Office, andwhilst the successful candidate will be trained, experience using this software would be very helpful. DRSS also uses a bespoke database to record patient sensitive information. Training for this will be provided however accurate data entry skills are needed

There is no parking available on site however the office is on the main bus route and there is a bus stop nearby.

Applications for this apprenticeship are being processed by DRSS via NHS Jobs. Shortlisted candidates will be required to attend for an initial interview and assessment with PGL at their office in Exeter and then a further CCG interview with DRSS at their office in Newton Abbot.
The PGL interviews will be held on Wednesday 30th October at 165 Fore Street, Exeter EX4 3AT. On completion of these PGL interviews, successful candidates be emailed to attend a formal interview with DRSS on Wednesday 6th November.
