 This role is to support our Southern region with a valid Driving Licence and confidence to drive around the region as this is a Field Based role.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Apprenticeship Assessor to support our Southern Region. Part of this role will include ensuring that our team is trained to give customers the service and quality they deserve. Your main aim will be to manage quality standards and compliance within the Superdrug & Savers Apprenticeship Programme.

·       Planning annual profile and then meeting agreed sign up and achiever targets

·       Ensuring learners receive quality support and guidance resulting in the achievement of their qualification in a timely manner

·       Ensure learners receive quality teaching, assessment, advice and guidance with regards to their qualification

·       Delivering functional skills support and testing for learners

·       Delivering knowledge certificate support and testing for learners

·       Areas of competence to include: Retail, Customer Service, Team Leading and Management

·       Ensuring all quality and performance standards exceed audit requirements

·       Build effective working relationships with internal and external customers

·       Raising any concerns over learners progression/commitment with line Manager and Area Manager to avoid leavers where possible

·       Share best practice and learnings with peers and full Apprenticeship team

·       Comply with assessment strategy by award

·       Attend Apprenticeship/standardisation Team meetings as required

·       Contribute towards continuous improvement of policies and procedures

·       Communicate operational information to line Manager

·       Attend monthly one to one meetings with line Manager

What you’ll need to succeed

Essential

·       Experience of working in a Retail environment

·       Grade C or above in English, Maths or equivalent Level 2 Functional Skills   

·       A1 Assessor award preferred but not essential as training can be given

·       Competent in Excel, Word and PowerPoint

·       UK current valid Driving Licence 

·       Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail in all areas of work

·       Ability to plan, prioritise and deliver against tight deadlines

·       Exemplary relationship builder, strong communication/interpersonal/influencing skills

·       A high level of personal drive, multi tasking, presence and credibility

·       Able to demonstrate a proactive, confident and resilient approach

·       Able to develop and motivate others

·       Competent to deliver using paper portfolio/tablet

Desirable

·       Assessor Award or equivalent

·       Training qualifications over and above essential criteria

·       Internal Verifier Award

·       Trailblazer knowledge

Personal Development

·       Conduct CPD as appropriate and provide evidence in CPD Log

·       Ensure CPD is up to date to include Functional Skills

·       Network externally

The post holder will be fully flexible and able to travel as required. The post holder will also be prepared to stay away from home as required (min of 1 night per month).
