We are very excited to announce the opening for a Vehicle Procurement Intern to sit within our Flex-E-Rent Vehicle Acquisition team in Shrewsbury, Shropshire.
For the right candidate this role will develop your relationship building, organisational, analytical and administrative skills and get you involved in an extremely dynamic arena of vehicle procurement and supply chain.

This internship will offer the successful candidate the opportunity to be an integral member of a small team and will provide exposure and responsibility for the delivery of the right vehicles, at the right time, to the right place and at the right cost, to the entire Flex-E-Rent division of the business.
This role will demand a significant degree of proactive ability, analytical skills and will be suited to someone who is self-motivated.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Develop and maintain dealership relationships with both local and national suppliers
  • Develop and maintain relationships with our network of branches by supporting the delivery process
  • Data base management with regards to creating and placing orders with manufacturers and dealerships
  • Confirm delivery of cars by reconciling branch check in sheets
  • Monitoring reports to maintain fleet accuracy
  • Assisting with the completion of vital weekly reports that influence fleet planning decisions
  • Compiling and understanding reporting material on Income, utilisation and fleet trends

The candidate should be able to display the following:

Qualifications

  • You must be a current undergraduate university student
  • You must be available to work a full 12 week period beginning in late May or early June.
  • This internship is open to students from any degree discipline however maybe better suited to someone interested in a career in procurement, purchasing or supply chain.

  • Salary: £17,100 per annum

We accept applications for our Placement Programme from undergraduate university students either in their 1st or 2nd year regardless of university attended and subject being studied. Our assessment is based on how you perform against the competencies that are required for your role.
