Apprentice Pharmacy Assistant – Clinical Services

14 month apprenticeship agreement developing into a permanent role on successful completion

Band 3 Annex 21. £14,556 to progress to £15,596 over the duration of the qualification. Permanent appointment to £18,183 on the Band 3 £18,813 – £20,795 pay scale.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic individual to embark on a Pharmacy Services Intermediate (Level 2) Apprenticeship qualification here at The Christie. The apprenticeship is 14 months in duration and you will progress into the permanent role on successful completion.

The successful candidate will work as part of a multidisciplinary team in providing an effective and efficient pharmacy service to the Trust ensuring patients receive a high level of service and care. They will receive first class training and work towards formal qualifications whilst developing professional skills including stock management, providing a top up service to wards, including stock rotation and expiry date checking, supporting the satellite dispensary including dispensing and coordinating provisions of pharmacy services between the third party provider, chemotherapy centre and wards.

As an Apprentice Pharmacy Assistant you will be trained to be a valuable member of our team. To be successful, you will need to show that you can work as part of a team, good IT skills, have excellent communication & interpersonal skills, excellent organisational skills, the ability to prioritise work effectively, the ability to undertake physical and manual tasks, be self-motivated, Reliable, honest and flexible.

Please note: The successful candidate will be required to undertake the Pharmacy Services Intermediate (Level 2) Apprenticeship qualification as an integral part of this appointment.
