Job description


Our Collaboration Services are responsible for the design, engineering, and integration of the products that underpin Collaboration Services.


The product engineering function forms a critical part of the target operating model for the infrastructure of Barclays, as we become a services focused function pushing the boundaries of usual operation.


You’ll be designing products and services that support our colleagues to openly innovate, collaborate effectively, and delivery in an agile way the required capability for Barclays.



• Support the development, integration, and deployment of solutions, products and capabilities
• Ensure the successful testing, defect resolution, and support of products and services produced by Collaboration Services
• Engineer to business requirements and creation of technical solutions to deliver an end-to-end solution
• Ensure technical integrity and quality of solutions
• Work with product owners and engineers to ensure products and solutions are fi-for-purpose
• Support lifecycle management processes
• Provide QA of technical documentation and solution delivery



• Technical knowledge of Virtual Desktop solutions (VDI, App V)
• Citrix XenApp/XenDesktop, Edgesight, Netscalers, Cloud & Storefront exposure
• Ability to script in Python, Perl, PowerShell or Bash
• SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager) and MDT (Microsoft Deployment Toolkit) exposure



• Stakeholder management skills
• HP Hardware
• Microsoft SCORCH exposure (System Center Orchestrator)



You will be working at our technology hub in the North West, located at Radbroke Hall in Knutsford. It’s convenient for most people who live within a 35-mile radius, spanning from Liverpool, Chester, Manchester and Stoke. It’s a lively atmosphere with large open plan offices, with everything you need on site including various catering options, Starbucks, Gym, onsite parking etc.
