What are you going to do:
Key responsibilities;
- The Communication and Design Intern/Volunteer will be working closely with the Communications and Policy officer to help shape and execute communication strategy for various ISI projects.
- The intern will be directly involved with managing ISI’s website as well as ISI’s social media accounts.
- Under the guidance from the Communication and Policy Officer, the intern will also play a crucial role in all stages of graphic design and preparation for print of various outputs of ISI: for example designing books, reports, brochures or other advertising materials.
- ISI Interns/Volunteers are given significant responsibility within their role and are treated as full members of the ISI team, so this will be a great opportunity for someone who would like to gain valuable experience working in communications and design for print and online media.
- To be successful in the role, applicants must be able to work independently, plan and execute design tasks with minimal supervision, be reliable and have excellent inter-personal skills, including the ability to work within a team. Experience in animation and video editing will be considered as a plus.
- The Communication and Design Intern/Volunteer is expected to work a minimum of 20 hours per week for ISI, based in our London Office (Middlesex University).
- Exact working times, including the possibility of doing part of these hours from home, are to be agreed upon commencement of contract.
- This is an unpaid position and the Intern/Volunteer has no entitlement to any financial compensation nor reimbursement for commuting costs.
