Project Manager (Software) in United Kingdom

Novosco is an established ServiceNow partner with successful implementations completed across Ireland and the UK. We are seeking to expand our ServiceNow team with the addition of experienced ServiceNow project managers, consultants, analysts and developers.

Job description

Management of Software Platform Projects

  • Management of software development or platform configuration projects e.g. CRM, Customer Service Management, IT Service Management, HR, Finance

  • Full project lifecycle management from functional specification, implementation, system and UAT testing through to acceptance into service

  • Working knowledge of industry software platforms such as ServiceNow, Salesforce, MS Dynamics or equivalent

 

Methodologies

  • Agile

  • Prince2, PMP or equivalent project management methodology

  • Test management

  • QMS

 

ServiceNow Experience (Desirable – comparable platform acceptable)

  • Leadership of, or key role in development projects for ITSM, Customer Service Management, HR or Custom Apps

  • Service portal and user experience

  • Orchestration and workflows

 

The role requires a minimum of 3 years’ experience managing software platform projects within an enterprise organisation, e.g. Salesforce, MS Dynamics or equivalent.

 

Personal Skills

  • Ability to lead distributed and virtual delivery teams to meet deadlines and budgets

  • Effective project planning, resource planning and budgeting skills

  • Ability to develop plans based upon functional specifications

  • Effective reporting, governance and stakeholder management

  • Strong knowledge of agile and equivalent development methodologies

  • Ability to create and execute test plans

  • Willingness to learn about new ServiceNow products and functionality

 

The role will primarily be based in Belfast, however some travel to client locations across Ireland and the UK may be necessary.

 

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

 

Training

Internal training on products and services will be provided. However, staff are also expected to consistently keep abreast of new developments, which would impact on his/her areas of responsibility. Personal training in relation to this job description will be given as part of the company’s overall personnel development program.

 

Conditions of Employment Salary: The salary and benefits for this position will be determined according to the experience of the person appointed.

 

General Guidance: The nominal working week is 37.5 hours, although a degree of flexibility is both offered and expected. In specific circumstances there may be a requirement to work additional hours. Annual holidays are 24 days plus 7 statutory holidays.
