We are looking for a self-motivated and committed enthusiast to join a small innovative team.  As an L&D specialist you will excel at identifying the current and future skill requirements of our organisation, and create flexible learning interventions (through digital and other means) to meet the diverse needs of the workforce and primarily our customers.

 

You will be a team player and driven to provide exceptionally high standards of work. You will also be self-sufficient and able to organise and motivate yourself. You will be comfortable with nationwide travel, occasional international travel and working remotely with support from your office-based colleagues.

         

JOB ROLE:    

Suitable candidates will possess professional experience in a learning and development environment and instructional design to include the areas of: utilizing a blended learning approach, state of the art learning technology and best practices and development of custom e-learning, audio/visual solutions. You will possess a high degree of graphic design skill and a track record of using a range of techniques (e.g. photographic, animation, videography) to produce learning content. You will be skilled in computer applications (i.e. PowerPoint, Word, Excel, & Internet Navigation) have knowledge in computer based authoring software (i.e. Camtasia, Captivate, Adobe Illustrator).

MAIN TASKS & DUTIES

 

Responsibilities – (Key Areas)

  • Identify learning priorities across the organisation

  • Create learning environments where employees can continuously develop to be their best

  • Deliver online and onsite training

  • Capturing and monitoring training requests from customers

  • Carrying out capability assessments across the organisation

  • Designing blended learning solutions

  • Using digital tools to create flexible and innovative learning programmes

  • Applying adult learning theories to ensure employees get the best out of their development

  • Driving a culture of continuous professional development (CPD)

  • Facilitating learning interventions (employees and customers)

  • Creating a coaching culture in the organisation

  • Monitoring how effectively learning has been transferred to employee

 

 

Job Requirements - (Knowledge, Skills, Experience)

 

Required Skills

·         Third level Education, Bachelor Degree or above

·         Minimum 3 years proven L&D / training experience

·         Deliver, present and facilitate training to a range of different audiences

·         Good knowledge of learning & development theory & practice

·         Good working knowledge of training and design delivery methodologies

·         An awareness of individual learning styles and the importance of appealing to these in L&D delivery

·         Evidence of developing and managing performance standards that enable successful achievement of the organisation’s business plans and objectives

·         Proven experience of achieving challenging targets and objectives.

·         Experience and understanding of using methodologies for measuring the return on investment for Learning & Development Activities

  • Open to travel across the Republic of Ireland and UK

  • A full, clean driving licence is also required.

 

 Desirable

·         CIPD qualification or working towards (ensure to advise when this will be completed)
