A new opportunity has become available within our IB Technology team for a SRA/MARS Developer. SRA/MARS system is the principal platform to compute and deliver VaR firmwide, spanning across legal entities and business lines. As a key member of this global team, you will be heavily involved in driving a cohesive design across business areas by leveraging technology across the Investment Bank and Group Technology.
• Become an SME for MARS DB and related Perl scripts
• Be able to liaise with senior technical colleagues and cooperate with other teams
• Willing to work in an “Agile” context
• Forming effective working relationships with other developers in the risk management community
• Support the MARS DB and SRA server side applications (third-level support)
• Very good knowledge of MS SQL and SQL
• Linux scripting knowledge
• Perl knowledge
• Good communication skills
• Willingness to learn another mainstream language over time (C++)
• A good knowledge of a secondary language as Java or C#
• Test Driven Development experience
• Big Data integration (Hadoop/Hive/Impala and Spark)
This role will be based in our Aurora house Glasgow office; a stones throw away from Glasgow Central Train Station and the heart of Glasgow.
