Our Chief Security Office (CSO) is a fully global team, with colleagues across EU, Asia, Africa and the US. We support the business in ensuring confidentiality, integrity and availability of the firm’s assets, implementing world class security solutions.
We’ve already implemented a strong protection for our business, but we need to adapt to the rapid change in the cyber arena. We need to ensure we detect security alerts quickly, then react, respond and recover.
As the DevOps Lead, you will be required to design, build and operate robust hosting and pipeline solutions to support software delivery in the CSO, ensuring we standardise the patterns we use for any tooling whilst also ensuring other tools (cyber specific) are managed accordingly.
• Work with our central technology teams such as Infrastructure, Architecture, CTO and Development
• Develop and improve DevOps solutions function wide
• Perform hands on DevOps work, as well as leading a small team of engineers
• Enforce technical methodology, and practice and monitor technical excellent
• Deliver modern and forward-thinking DevOps solutions
• Mature and simplify our tech portfolio and make measurable improvements to speed of delivery
• Outstanding RedHat skills
• Excellent Jenkins and Chef exposure (build delivery automation pipelines and deploy / make configuration changes)
• AWS exposure essential and detailed development level (Lambda Code, EC2, VCP)
• Excellent coding ability in Java, Python or Shell
• Proven leader, directly managing a team of engineers
• Flexible with technology, not get too attached to specific technology
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Able to switch between different projects using different technologies at ease
You will be working at our technology hub in the North West, located at Radbroke Hall in Knutsford. It’s convenient for most people who live within a 35-mile radius, spanning from Liverpool, Chester, Manchester and Stoke. It’s a lively atmosphere with large open plan offices, with everything you need on site including various catering options, Starbucks, Gym, onsite parking etc.
