Market Data Business Services Analyst in Glasgow

Job description

Barclays point of Contact for all invoice or Market Data Request Mgt ticket queries/escalations. End to end invoice processing function in the Global Market Data Management team with a global spend of £240mil per annum. Investigate any disputed invoices with suppliers and address all internal/external queries related to invoicing. He / She will manage healthy relationship with internal / external stakeholders providing best in-class market data service

Central point of contact for all invoices managed by Market Data Managed Service provider (MDSL), working closely with this Vendor, Vendor Managers and/or Accounts Payable teams

Responsible for providing demand challenge and approvals on all Market Data requests (RPM)Responsible for managing & producing Service Management Metrics;

Address all internal/external queries related to invoicing & RPM tickets

Address all Coupa related queries and escalations

Daily invoice workflow mgt ensuring any issues are managed in a timely manner meeting both SLA's and payment terms

Responsible for accrual review.  To review accrual in a thoughtful manner to ensure the completeness and accuracy of the accrued costs, for accurate presentation of Market Data costs

Candidate will be interacting with various stakeholders – Business, Finance business partners, business analysts, MDSL & vendor managers to achieve their deliverables. Active engagement with business services team & Financial Management team to iron out root cause of exceptions found & remediate.

Key stakeholder liaison on Invoice & Business Service runbook

Management of key Risks/Issues and driving Service operation meetings

Maintains good working relationship with both internal customers (MDM Teams, Business) and third party managed service provider (MDSL)

Responsible for managing Managed Service Provider (MDSL) on market data requests via RPM system meeting SLA objectives

Experience in Accounting or Finance

Experience of market data invoice, request management or control functions in a global investment bank or Market Data work experience in the Financial Services

Relevant experience in Financial Services

Understanding of Finance flow and Account Payable is a must

Ability to communicate at all levels, tough and resilient personality. 

Ability to work independently with limited day to day oversight.

Confident and positive individual able to communicate with clarity and purpose both in written and verbal formats

Knowledge of MDM modules: Financial Navigator, Data Explorer, SQL Reporting & Inventory Management, Proficient in Invoice Prediction process

Conversant in different countries’ tax policies

Strong PC knowledge, particularly Excel, Outlook, Microsoft word, PowerPoint

Experience using SAP, AIP and Coupa

Conversant use of MDM inventory module (MDSL)

Conversant use of MDM RPM module (MDSL)
