Channels Engineering has more than 1000 employees and is responsible for delivering a seamless, end-to-end technology solution to its clients, supporting the vision and strategy for Technology & Operations across Barclays. Our mandate is to drive digital simplification and mass automation for our customers & colleagues, enabled by a relentless commitment to a number of key priorities: simplify our technology estate, optimize the way we work, automate customer and colleague journeys, standardize and automate our controls and drive the digital strategy.


As an iOS Technical Lead, you’ll be driving activity across the iOS team working on the Barclays Mobile Banking application. 

You’ll be part of a team that highly value career development and support career growth by encouraging skill building by working collaboratively with respected SME’s in the industry who have worked with various cutting edge technologies.

Driving activity across the iOS development team and acting as an SME in iOS providing guidance where necessary 
Delivering hands on iOS development using both objective C and Swift
Using use system-specific knowledge and technical expertise to define technical strategies that provides business solutions
Ensuring the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
Collaborating with a solution team to define, design, and ship new features
Helping maintain code quality, standard and design principles for application development


Experience of driving direction in a domain or has mentored others 
Hands on experience of delivering iOS development with Swift 
Has an awareness of objective C 


Experience of working with both Objective C and Swift
