Job description


The successful candidate will be responsible and accountable for the technical delivery for medium to large-scale regulatory projects in Barclays UK Risk, Finance & Treasury functions. This is a hands-on technical leadership role with direct responsibility for the deliveries of the local team with an emphasis on strong cross-region collaboration. The role requires expert technical knowledge and strong banking skills in Credit risk business process.


• Lead an agile team of developers in credit risk regulatory and compliance data

  delivery projects
• SAS 9.4, SQL Server, Teradata, Hadoop and Spark Development
• End to End Compliance & Controls (SOx ) development and testing
• Ensure the team delivers good quality and maintainable code with high test

  coverage
• Hands-on in development, code reviews and unit testing
• Contribute to architecture and design decisions
• Assume responsibility for the delivery of the projects assigned to the team
• Technical delivery in to PROD environment with relevent change requests

• Experience in Big Data, Data Analytics Programs
• Experience in Compliance & Controls (SOx ) in data delivery projects
• Banking experience (Credit risk)
• Development experience in wide variety technologies, such as SAS 9.4, SQL

Server, Teradata, Hadoop and Spark

• Regulatory experience (IFRS9/ BCBS) with control and compliance implementations
• People management experience
• Previous experience within Finance, Treasury and Risk functions
