ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE - CLIENT SERVICES TEAM YOUR MISSION Successfully run your accounts (with the appropriate support of your managers) and play a valuable part in building our relationship and reputation with our clients. THE SKILLS TO MASTER STRATEGY • Demonstrate an interest and understanding of • The Clients’ business, including marketplace and competitive set • Target audiences and their relationship with the brand and how to engage with them • Support more senior team members with strategic work, gathering and recognising insight. • Demonstrate a continual interest in industry leading ideas and emerging trends and proactively share your views with the team and client (when appropriate). • Contribute to an environment of creative excellence and support the team in the presentation of creative work. PEOPLE MANAGEMENT • Be ready to anticipate and support the activities of other members of the team. • Work constructively and efficiently with creatives and clients as work is progressed. Challenge and support as and when required. • Build and maintain strong relationships (internally and with clients) that engender trust and add value. ORGANISATION • Take responsibility for detailed administration of the day-to-day running of an account such as filing, issuing estimates/updating flash, timing plans, taking ownership of some projects as and when appropriate • Manage own time and diary productively to ensure completion of tasks in an appropriate and efficient way. Understand agency process and resource management to enable the effective progression of the projects • Demonstrate a keen attention to detail and passion for accuracy in all elements of the projects. PRESENTATION & COMMUNICATION • Be able to write clearly and concisely in the different styles required, for contact reports, emails, internal memos, creative/research briefs, production status reports, etc. • Communicate verbally in a clear and constructive way to other members of the team and clients • Be able to present to peers/internally but also in formal settings, incl junior clients. • Demonstrate an understanding of the importance of anticipating and communicating problems and opportunities FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT • Understand the process of agency finances, how the agency makes money and be aware of opportunities for additional revenue • Ability to prepare accurate estimates and keep Flash up to date. • Keep on top of changes as work progresses and highlight potential financial issues before they arise (over-run, delays, etc. which could have financial implications). Be able to do reconciliation when required. • Issue purchase order and ensure written Client approval of any costs before they are incurred.
