Job Type: Temporary Ongoing (potential to go permanent) Job Title: Driver Salary £ Location: Aldridge, Walsall Job Purpose As a driver you will be expecting to travel between hospitals and other client sites driving a ton vehicle to set up and remove medical devices; "To support the area and regional team by delivering, collecting and providing appropriate training on medical devices as part of the service offered to customers". Key Duties and Responsibilities: Deliver/install and provide 'in service instruction' on all systems ensuring that equipment is fully functional and that users are aware of operating and emergency procedures. Collect used equipment from customers and ensure that this is processed in accordance with the company's infection control procedures. Respond to breakdowns in the field and exchange faulty products, where required, and complete all necessary documentation. To report all service related issues to the Area Administrator and Area Team Leader. Ensure that Company installation/cancellation and missing/damaged items documentation is completed and returned to the Regional Operations Centre on a weekly basis or as instructed. Ensure that SAP compliance is at or in excess of KPI requirements. To ensure that the allocated vehicle is maintained and cleaned in line with the Company's relevant Policies. Adherence to all Health and Safety measures. Undertake any other reasonable requests as determined by Line Manager. What You'll Need A full clean driving license Experience in driving a vehicle previous Possess or be happy to have a full enhanced DBS check Experience of multi-drop delivery and/or installations highly desirable Ability to prioritise work and amend route plans accordingly. Thorough understanding of Health and Safety principals. Experience in medical devices/health-care environment preferred. Benefits Potential to go permanent subject to performance and business need Overtime opportunities paid at £ Excellent training Mobile, Ipad provided About the Team & Culture There are currently a team of 5+ Drivers/Porters most of which have been with the business for 10+ years so very establish due to the high volume of services they currently need to deal with they are looking to bring on board 2 additional heads. The team is headed up by Dave who himself has been with the business a number of years. They're a friendly bunch with great experience in your first few weeks you will receive excellent training on systems and software such as the Ipad you will be using as well as working in a job shadowing capacity to learn the ropes and understand your responsibilities. More about the role You will be covering a number of hospitals and sites as well as dealing with some residential customers some of the areas you could be covering are as follows; Birmingham children's hospital, good hope hospital, Coventry hospital, Heartlands and more. You predominately will be focusing on moving bedframes (which fold up and are light to move) and mattresses (rolled up and never heavier than 20kg) on a day to day basis to multiple sites There may be an opportunity for the role to go permanent a little further down the line this is pendent on business need and your performance in your first few months Shifts Shifts will be Working hours will be Either: Tues-Sat 8-4 Sun-Thurs 8-4 You will have multiple opportunities for overtime if you are comfortable working additional hours which are paid at £ Interview Process Interviews will take place W/C 27th of January this will be a 1 stage interview where you meet with Dave the hiring manager to discuss the role further, he will ask questions on your experience what you know about the company and why you feel you could be suitable. Other Due to the vulnerable nature of the patients you are exposed to every member of the team will be subject to the completion of a enhanced DBS you will also need to have a clean driving licenses to be successful in the role.
