Digital & Innovation Specialist - Automation Testing in Bradford

The Morrisons Digital team are looking for a Test Automation Engineer responsible for supporting Morrisons realise value creating business change across ways of working. You will join our team based at our head office in Bradford, West Yorkshire. 

The role will be to introduce an automated framework for both functional and non functional testing.  This is a fast paced challenging day-to-day environment driving the organisations approach to digital in the modern age. Working across both high profile projects and BAU regression activities you would be a key player in our organization's digital strategy. You will need to work with different technologies and tools helping to formulate the automation framework and approach to a fast but high quality delivery model.  

You'll be accountable for things like this as our automation expert:

• Developing test scripts and raising awareness of and managing defects with the Delivery Team
• Analysing changes to the development of products and services and plan design
• Running and managing appropriate functional and non-functional tests to ensure that requirements have been fully met
• Staying at the forefront of range of contemporary technologies including cloud platforms, open source and ‘aaS’ services to better enable and enhance the delivery of QAT service
• Visualise, articulating and solving complex problems and concepts, and make disciplined decisions based on available information using data to formulate short and long term plans

You should have:

• UI Automation (JavaScript based frameworks)
• At least one of the object-oriented programming languages (Java, Python, C#, etc)
• Experience with Docker
• Experience with SQL
• Experience with API, exploratory, integration, accessibility testing
• Good knowledge of development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)
