About The Role

The Morrisons Digital team are looking for a looking for a Service Transition Specialist responsible for supporting Morrisons realise value creating business change across ways of working. You will join our team based at our head office in Bradford, West Yorkshire. It’s an exciting time to join this fast paced work environment.

You’ll be assist the smooth running business services delivered by our Digital & Innovation delivery teams across the central systems business area. This role will be to coordinate with the relevant teams, internal and external customers, suppliers and resolver groups to ensure day to day business operates as expected. Following ITIL practices it will ensure any incidents raised are resolved within SLA and any relevant problem management, known error and continual service improvements processes are followed to find root cause and ensure issues do not reoccur.

Here at Morrisons our Digital & Innovation Specialist-Service Transition will do the following:

• Ensure continual availability of services to the customer

• Assist in the effective end to end running and operation of the business service that underpin the critical business processes that are used by thousands of users

• Consulted for input to the continuous improvement of the services

• Monitor Service Levels (SLA’s) for each Business Service to effectively measure the service provided.

• Provide service metrics and management information to feed into business and supplier service reviews

• Building strong trust and results based relationships with key internal and external suppliers

• Ensuring all incident management activity in suppliers follows the defined process

• Acting as management escalation point for suppliers and customers during incidents.

• Monitor the effectiveness of incident and problem management processes and reporting

• Provide information for service reviews with senior business stakeholders, strategic partners and collating regular feedback to measure service and lead enhancements

• Progresses the resolution of agreed actions & issues within central services

• Monitor performance to set and review OLA’s between processes to ensure the overall business process meet the defined KPIs and SLAs

• Consulted in supplier and business reviews to drive performance through incentives and credits

• Reduce cost by ensuring we focus suppliers on cost to serve outcomes

• Ensuring compliance to strategic scorecard and KPIs


About You

• Experience delivering complex end to end IT Service Management within multi-vendor environment

• Ability to develop & nurture relationships with key stakeholders at all levels within the Morrisons and with third party Suppliers

• Experience of incident resolution in complex IT Solutions

• Experience of working in a fast paced environment

• Understanding of ITIL processes including monitoring and alerting

• Understanding of Retail business operation and systems to support this

• Strong levels of resilience, with the ability to constructively challenge when under pressure.

• Calm under pressure

• Desirable: ITIL v3 (Foundation) Service Operation Certified

• Persuasion skills, Negotiation skills, Presentation skills, Relationship Management, Conflict Management skills
