Data Analyst Intern (Initally 3 months, may become permenant) in Blaby

This role is ideal for a student in their final year or recent graduate or someone with experience of Data Analysis who is looking to work in a forward-thinking company which promotes the opportunity to share and develop ideas.

40 hours per week
Between £12 and £15 Per Year

What are you going to do:

The postholder will:

  • Process and handle industry sensitive, personal, and confidential information in a professional and responsible manner in compliance with GDPR.
  • Be able to present findings, and report in a way which is understandable by technical and non-technical team members.
  • Manage master data, including creation, updates, and deletion
  • Provide quality assurance of imported data, working with other stakeholders where necessary.
  • Processing confidential data and information according to guidelines.
  • Helping develop reports and analysis.
  • Working with application development team to support the design and of the reporting environment, including data sources, security, and metadata.
  • Supporting the data reporting systems in identifying and revising reporting requirements.
  • Supporting initiatives for data integrity and normalisation.
  • Assessing tests and implementing new or upgraded software and assisting with strategic decisions on new systems.
  • Generating reports from single or multiple systems.
  • Troubleshooting the reporting database environment and reports.
  • Training end users on new reports and dashboards.
  • Providing technical expertise on data storage structures, data mining, and data cleansing.

What we offer:

  • Salary £12-15k (pro rata) during 3 month Internship. This will be reviewed if the post becomes permanent
  • 25 Days annual Leave plus Bank Holidays (pro rata)

  • High level of skill with MS Access, MS Excel, SQL (not essential) and other common data analysis or scripting applications and tools
  • Good working ability with other key MS Office applications
