iOS Engineer in United Kingdom

Job description

Neurovalens is looking for an iOS Engineer to join our software team, reporting to the Head of Software Engineering. You will have the key responsibility of developing the iOS applications that support our products. What you deliver will directly impact the business and will be highly visible to our customers.


What we expect from you

  • Take a leading role in the development of our iOS applications

  • The ability to work in an Agile environment

  • Ensure coding best practices are followed

  • To be comfortable working independently, and in a small, but talented team

  • Collaborate effectively with other team members

  • Integral to planning and scoping releases


Essential Skills/Criteria

  • 3+ years professional experience

  • Professional iOS development experience (1+ years)

  • Excellent Swift programming skills

  • Passionate about programming and technology in general

  • Knowledge of at least one source control system (GIT, Mercurial, etc.)

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Experience with unit testing and TDD


Desired Skills/Criteria

  • Bluetooth Low Energy application development experience

  • Experience developing applications that communicate with Cloud APIs

  • Android development or Django API development experience a plus

  • Experience working with JIRA (or similar task management application)

  • Knowledge of Continuous Integrations systems (Gitlab CI)

  • Knowledge of Heroku/AWS/Cloud hosting

  • Experience publishing apps to the Apple App Store


Academic qualifications

Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent subject/industry experience
