A new opportunity has become available for a DevOps Engineer within our Consumer Risk, Finance & Treasury Function, Northampton. Consumer RFT is a set of strategic programmes and platforms for delivering data, document and decision-making capabilities and solutions across Barclays UK. This dedicated team is also responsible for the management of organisational processes and systems that acquire, create, organize, distribute and use the information within the business. As a key member of this team, you will be expected to take a Scala, Spark, Java source, build a pipeline which tests, compiles and builds then delivers it into a functional test environment for functional testing. You will then need to define and build the modules that deliver this application into SIT, UAT and Run. We’re building out pipeline as a service which will be a modular drag and drop pipeline solution, allowing our developers to simplify pipeline creation; choosing from a selection of pre-tested and supported modules. Your role will be to define and build these modules that deliver our applications into production.
• End-end Pipeline design.
• Guide Stakeholders on the journey through projects
• Experience in CI /CD management tools eg. Jenkins / TeamCity.
• Automating application deployment in Jenkins.
• Working with Agile methodologies.
• Experience in utilising analytical tools for data exploration, analysis and visualisation within Financial Services / Financial Crime
• Experience with configuration management tools, such as Chef.
• Build and Deployment : Maven, Maven Plugins, Nolio, Chef, Artifactory, Nexus, Team City, Jenkins, Docker, EFK, Prometheus and Kibana.
• Jenkins, GIT, Groovy and Gradle execution – Creating and using Jenkins shared libraries
• Cloudformation, Terraform, Packer, Ansible
• Experience of automating docker based environments, Kuberneties, Openshift, ECS
• Write scripts and automation using Perl/Python/Groovy/Bash
• Developing, migrating, deploying and supporting applications on AWS.
• Java and/or Python application development and testing.
• Cloud Technologies : Understanding of Cloud platforms like AWS, Azure etc. (AWS preferred)
