Business Development Representative in United Kingdom

Pitchbooking currently facilitates over 15,000 sessions of sport a year, with clients including Goals Soccer Centres, Oxford City Council, and Wokingham Borough Council. In February of this year, we secured considerable investment to grow the platform and become a market leader in the sports facility management space.

Job description

We have office space across CodeBase in Edinburgh and The Ormeau Baths in Belfast - co-working spaces with a lively start-up community. You'll be working in a vibrant office with great facilities and good people. The job will be primarily based in Edinburgh, but there will be travel required to meet with customers across the UK.

We have created a product that makes it easy for users to book and easy for facility owners to manage their sports facilities. Our early customers have given glowing testimonials of our offering, and now we are looking to rapidly expand our customer base across the UK and Ireland.

About the position

A business development representative will play a key role in achieving our customer acquisition and revenue growth objectives. Your role will be to seek new business opportunities by contacting and developing relationships with potential customers.

To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience developing leads and meeting sales quotas. You will use your communication skills to cultivate strong relationships with customers, from first contact until you close the deal. You must be comfortable making dozens of calls per day, travelling to provide live demonstrations, working with channel partners, generating interest, qualifying prospects and closing sales. Responsibilities:

  • Finding new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound calling and emails.

  • Providing live demonstrations of the platform (travel required)

  • Maintaining and expanding our list of prospects

  • Understanding customer needs and requirements

  • Qualify leads

  • Presenting information to clients

  • Leading sales meetings

  • Maintaining customer information and records

  • Setting up meetings for clients

Requirements:

  • Experience within the sales/marketing field - experience with SaaS sales ideally

  • Proven record of achieving a specific quota

  • Experience with sales software

  • Understanding and analysing the sales metric system

  • Great negotiation skills

  • Able to suggest ideas and give effective presentations

  • Ideally the candidate will have experience in the sport and leisure sector
