We are looking for a Supply Chain Manager to join our team on a permanent basis. We’d love you to join us and play a part in our growing success story.

 

What this role will be doing…

 

In our Supply Chain Manager role you will lead a team of Supply Chain Specialists as well as external supplier implants based here in Hilmore, to deliver availability to the customer by having the right stock in the right place at the right time, consequently reducing markdown, managing stockholding and increasing overall profit. You will be accountable for, inbound and outbound service, order forecasting, promotional & seasonal planning and execution, space analysis and stock allocations across multiple categories. Other responsibilities will include:

 

  • Providing suppliers with an accurate rolling forecast and working with key suppliers to maximise benefits of stock and production controls, looking for opportunities to balance stock targets with commercial benefits.

  • Leading the team on end to end process walkthroughs with key suppliers to identify opportunities and agree measurable plans to reduce cost and improve service

  • Playing a leadership role in Business Unit and category planning with timescales from 6 months to 5 years

  • Minimising all logistics costs for your categories by working upstream in the supply chain to identify and deliver efficiency opportunities. 

  • Initiating and driving Business Unit and supply chain improvement plans through to completion, including seasonal strategies for your categories that improve availability and sales, improve team routines and ways of working and reduce stock. 

  • Leading a team to continuously improve ways of working, taking ownership of performance management of the team, tackling underperformance in a structured way and highlighting strong performance to celebrate success and share best practice. 

  • Collaborating with the wider supply chain team to spot and develop talent through the team and coach for improved performance. 

  • Working closely with the key internal and external stakeholders to ensure the smooth transition of stock through the business in line with Business Unit and supply chain targets and efficiencies.

  • Lead a team and influence key stakeholders to maximise availability for customers through forecasting and stock management in alignment with the Business Units P&L targets.


About You

So that you are set for success, we are looking for an exceptional communicator with the ability to influence at all levels and across multiple functions, often using data to support critical business decisions. You will work as part of a versatile team with a can-do culture, so it’s important that you are tenacious and committed to providing an outstanding service. You will also have:


  • A passion for championing the customer and retail, ensuring customers are at the centre of daily routines and ways of working

  • Experience in supply chain management to meet both sales and stock targets, taking action to mitigate risk and optimise opportunity.

  • Previous experience in a similar role in Supply Chain, including sales analysis at item/store level and store grading.

  • A track record of managing stock flow and sales targets to meet financial targets

  • Experience of forecasting, data analysis and stock management, including seasonality and promotional factors.

  • A strong background of managing and controlling stock within strict financial budgets and has experience of working with multiple lead times and temperature regimes

  • Very strong relationship building skills across multiple management levels and functions

  • Ability to strategise and forward plan, independently and within Business Unit 

  • A proactive communication style with a proven track record of influencing to engage peers and team in trading decisions.

  • People management experience with a proven track record of managing and developing others
