To support the continued planned growth Elemental is looking to appoint a Marketing Manager to help us continue to further enhance our expansive footprint throughout the UK, Ireland and help us expand into additional international markets.

We are looking for a highly motivated and proactive senior marketing professional seeking to take their career to the next level in the tech for good industry. The position is based in our headquarters in Derry/ L’Derry. The successful applicant will work closely to build the Elemental footprint with the Business Development Team and report to the COO. 

As a Marketing Manager, you’ll contribute to, develop, implement and measure the effectiveness of integrated marketing campaigns to promote Elemental’s products and services. This is a fast-paced and varied role that includes:

Key Responsibilities:

As Marketing Manager, you’ll work closely with the Marketing Team, Head of Marketing and Head of Sales to:

  • Define a strategy and detailed blueprint marketing plan for every Elemental target market 

  • Deliver on the strategy objectives by managing planning, prioritisation and delegation of marketing tasks for the Marketing Team

  • Create further awareness of and develop the Elemental brand

  • Stay up to date will all legislation and updates within our target markets

  • Communicate with target audiences in health and social care, housing, local government, VCSE, education and prison sector

  • Have a deep understanding of social prescribing, and how paired with digital, can effectively contribute to the management of population health and the achievement of Public Health Objectives

  • Have a deep understanding of the NHS Infrastructure that surrounds our target markets e.g. in Clinical Commissioning Groups, Health and Social Care Trusts, Primary Care Networks, NHS Foundation Trusts and GP Federations 

  • Stay up to date with the challenges faced by our target markets by researching social media posts and articles via the NHS Future Collaborations site daily 

  • Build and develop customer relationships and report on their progress and the impact of using Elemental

  • Build contact lists of potential leads in health, housing, VCSE, local gov, education and prisons

  • Support the Sales Department in delivering agreed activities that will lead to lead generation

  • Daily interaction with social media audiences 

  • Source PR opportunities and write Press Releases

  • Plan, source and write award submissions

  • Work closely with external creative designers to design marketing materials such as collateral and exhibition stands

  • Plan, write and proof read targeted marketing copy for web pages, social media, online resources and email campaigns

  • Plan and send target marketing campaigns using HubSpot

  • Produce creative content, including videos and blog posts using Canva or Photoshop

  • Produce customer case studies 

  • Create sales decks for presentations and demos

  • Manage social media channels (e.g. Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn) to enhance audience Manage our Social Prescribing Hour on Instagram – create topic/host plan and boost following and engagement

  • Organise, manage and attend events such as conferences, seminars, receptions and exhibitions as soon as possibly feasible after Covid-19 restrictions are lifted

  • Source and secure sponsorship for internal and external events as possibly feasible after Covid-19 restrictions are lifted

  • Manage the planning, promotion and execution of online webinars via GoTo Webinar

  • Liaise with designers, printers and suppliers

  • Maintain and update customer lists in HubSpot

  • Stay ahead of market trends by conducting market research via daily review of relative websites, tracking relevant hashtags on social media and using customer questionnaires, online research and focus groups

  • Develop relationships with key stakeholders both internally and externally 

  • Ensure that all staff and partners adhere to branding guidelines 

  • Delegate tasks to the Marketing Team to ensure effective delivery and execution of objectives set by the Head of Marketing and Head of Sales

  • Ensure all content on the Elemental website is up to date and features of the website are performing at a high standard

  • Maintain the promotion of our Partnership Programme ensuring that the website is continually kept up to date

  • Lead on ensuring all marketing assets e.g. images, bios, boilerplates etc are shared with the team, standardised and stored in a central Marketing location in Google Drive 

  • Promote internal success, CSR, Elemental usage stats and staff showcase pieces via our website and social media channels

  • Report on the effectiveness and ROI of campaigns using analytics and marketing metrics


Essential Criteria:

  • Secondary/Higher Level Marketing Qualification or at least 3 years experience in a similar marketing role.

  • Ideal for a senior candidate with a strong desire to manage a marketing team and be involved in strategy planning. Ongoing training and mentoring will be provided throughout.

  • Experienced in Marketing Strategy and Planning.

  • Experience in managing and executing integrated marketing campaigns.

  • Experience in lead generation strategy and reporting.

  • Experience in social media marketing.

  • Experience in WordPress CMS.

  • Ability to work to targets as set by the Head of Marketing (KPIs).

  • Must have a confident telephone manner and strong organisational skills.

  • Ability to write professional content and correspondence via email, social media and blog posts.

  • Will be required to work unsupervised at times but possess the self-discipline to adhere to pre-set KPIs. 

  • Technology proficient – will require aptitude in MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel.

  • Willingness to learn about industry standards, protocols, competitive landscape and company products/services

  • Flexibility to support the business at industry events when required – either as a delegate or exhibitor. 

  • A proactive attitude, ability to suggest ideas and potential campaigns/tasks.

  • Ensure an appropriate personal brand is conveyed via LinkedIn to support business development activities. 

  • This role may require occasional travel but is mainly based in Derry/ L’Derry.

  • Experience of working within public, community and voluntary sector partnerships

  • Experience of working in an Agile environment

  • An understanding of population health management
